Perrigo Volunteer Scheme at Lampard Community School

Perrigo volunteers spent the day with us, and some of them even helped us dig out the base for our new greenhouse, which was really cool!

Hey everyone,

I'm Evin, a student at Lampard Community School, and I wanted to share my experience of the Perrigo Volunteer Scheme that recently took place at our school.

I asked one of the volunteers why they were volunteering, and they explained that it's part of a community volunteering scheme where they help out at different places that need a hand. It was awesome to see them getting stuck in and making a difference at our school.

As an outsider looking in, they mentioned they loved our school pigs and the amount of space we have, which was nice to hear. When I asked if they would volunteer again, they said "Absolutely!" It's great to know that they had a positive experience with us.

I also asked them what aspects of our school they admired, and they mentioned how quiet and calm it is, which made me feel proud to be part of our school community. When I asked if they had a better school when they were a child, they said no because they didn't have as much equipment as we do.

Overall, it was a fantastic day, and we're grateful to the Perrigo volunteers for their help and support. Here's to more great experiences like this in the future!
