Calvert Trust Exmoor Residential

We are excited to share that the Calvert Trust Exmoor has been awarded a residentials grant which means they can offer us 4 FREE 2-night residentials towards the end of October. This is the second year of this fantastic and unique opportunity for some of our Lower and Middle School students (this year from Year 5-9), to experience a small group, 2-night residential in a setting suited to their needs. Specific dates for each of the 4 groups will be shared once we have collated numbers and grouped students appropriately. We are lucky that this is an additional opportunity and we will still be running the Middle School main Residential to St George’s House and a letter about this will come out later this term.

Each residential will be tailored to the individual age and stage of the students attending and will be for 2 night/ 3 full days.  Students will access normal transport to come to school on the first day and we will transport them to the Calvert Trust in school minibuses/cars for the stay. They will then be returned to school for their usual transport home at the end of their residential.

The visit would include the use of the facilities, accommodation, food and specialised Instructors for a range of indoor and outdoor activities. It will be an exciting opportunity to build friendships away from school, create memories and share experiences.

We appreciate that some students may find this a big step but this type of school residential is a key part of their growth and development and we hope that as many students as possible will take part! We will be sending out a packing list very soon but be assured that you will not need to purchase any additional clothing / bedding etc as everything is provided and comfortable clothes, trainers, pyjamas and a wash bag are really all that will be needed.

If you are until unsure or wish to speak with us further, please contact Jody Davie or Rowan White (trip leaders) via the school number. You can also find out more about the Calvert Trust by visiting their website.
