Nine classes rolled up their sleeves and peeled away the skin of these incredible plants, unveiling large luffa sponges. The students eagerly washed, rinsed, and soaked them in a vinegary goodness before giving them a final rinse to get rid of all the flesh and dirt. Now, they are drying out beautifully, and our pupils can hardly believe that they’ve grown their very own sponges! 🧽✨

We’ve also harvested the seeds to plant more next year – a true hands-on lesson in sustainability! 🌍💚 Students from both Lower School and Middle School have taken home a piece of this extraordinary experience to share with their families!
